Genpact launches its recruitment office in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Dec 14 (UNI) Genpact, a pioneer and global leader in high-quality business services and technology solutions, today announced the launch of its recruitment office here.

The Chandigarh recruitment office will serve as the company's local hiring office thereby creating an easy access for candidates from the states of Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to apply for a career with India's leading outsourcing firm.

This is the company's ninth office in India, Mr Amit Agarwal, vice president, (Hiring) Genpact said at a media conference here.

Genpact has already hired over a hundred people in Chandigarh over the past six months, and the company will be looking at growing this number to over 150 in the next six months with the new recruitment office.

Mr Agarwal said that the company has established recruitment offices across cities in India to tap the best talent available and help individuals explore career opportunities with the company. These offices represent a new age hiring trend where candidates can walk in with their resume and walk out with a job, he added.

These offices regularly host voice-training programmes and offer candidates counseling by the Genpact hiring team, Mr Agarwal said.

Genpact has hired over 3,000 employees from its existing regional recruitment offices present at Visakhapatnam, Kochi, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Indore, Dehradun and Lucknow and expects to spread the initiative to cover over 20 cities over the next year, he said.

Mr Agarwal said that the company employs over 27,000 associates worldwide and plans to hire over 12,000 candidates in this fiscal year.
