Engineer caught red handed accepting bribe

Patna, Dec 14 (UNI) Sleuths of state vigilance bureau today arrested an engineer, Dayanand Singh, when he was accepting Rs 2000 as bribe from a flour mill owner at Maheshkhoont village in Khagaria district.

Additional Director General of state vigilance bureau Neelmani said acting on a tip off from flour mill owner Sone Lal, a trap was laid to arrest Mr Singh, who was demanding illegal gratification from Mr Lal despite the fact that his mill had valid electricity connection.

Mr Singh was caught red handed at his residence with the cash.

He was being brought to Patna for further interrogation.
