Brother, son not aspirants for party tickets: Amarinder

Patiala, Dec 14 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today categorically denied the media reports about his brother Raja Malwinder Singh and son Raninder Singh contesting the forthcoming state Assembly elections in Punjab.

Talking to mediapersons after laying the foundation stone of integrated township spread over an area of 336 acre at village Baran in the district, he said that his son Raninder Singh, who is holding the post of PPCC General Secretary and looking after the party work in district Bathinda, and his brother Raja Malwinder Singh, who works for social causes, will not contest the Assembly elections due in February next year.

Media reports had said Raninder Singh was likely to get a Congress ticket from Nabha or Bathinda while his brother Raja Malwinder Singh was likely to get a ticket from Samana, adjacent to Patiala constituency.
