Bird flu awareness camps in MP

Bhopal, Dec 14 (UNI) With the objective of providing information about bird flu at block level, awareness camps will be organised in Madhya Pradesh in January.

The decision was taken based on the conclusions of experts after two-day seminar on bird flu organised at the Prashasan Academy here today.

The experts were unanimous in their opinion that preparations were required to prevent the bird flu and rid the society of its fear.

Pune-based Western Regional Disease Diagnostic Laboratory Assistant Commissioner M Aurandhkar provided training to about 200 participants from veterinary, forest, fisheries and irrigation departments.

He provided general information, techniques for prevention and steps taken during bird flu's detection in Maharashtra last year.
