Appropriation bill passed
Gangtok, Dec 14 (UNI) The Sikkim Assembly today passed the second Supplementary demands for grants and the Appropriation Bill for Rs 86.41 crore for 2006-07.
The amount comprised Rs 47.22 crore on revenue accounts and Rs 39.19 crore on capital accounts.
Moving the Bill, Chief Minister Pawan Chamling said the amount was needed to meet unavoidable expenditure.
The supplementary demands included an expenditure of Rs 29.83 crore for implementation of eleven centrally sponsored schemes, Rs 16.88 crore expenditure for three demands under Non-Lapsable Pool of Central resources, Rs 4.18 crore expenditure for four demands under N E Council and Rs 12.69 crore for eleven supplementary demands under non-plan.
About Rs 12.75 crore was needed for minor sectoral adjustments and Rs 10.08 crore was needed on account of the spill over of the last financial year.
