Abduted boy rescued in Bihar

Ballia, Dec 14 (UNI) A ten year old boy in the district, who was abducted 27 days back, was rescued by police from Bihar last night night.

Superintendent of Police Akramul Haq today said Sahbaz (10) -- a native of Maniar police station area, was kidnapped by unidentified miscreants on November 17 last.

An FIR was lodged by his brother Rabbir.

Acting on a tip-off, cops reached the area adjoining the Ghagra river and rescued the boy from the clutches of the abductors.

The accused, however, managed to escape.

Meanwhile, a reward of Rs 2,500 has been announced for the entire police team.
