4 workers killed in paper mill fire mishap

Lucknow, Dec 14 (UNI) At least four labourers were burnt alive and several others sustained grave burn injuries, following an explosion in the boiler in a paper mill in Deoria district today.

Deoria Superintendent of Police K S Emmanuel said several labourers were trapped inside the private paper mill after a raging inferno broke out following the explosion.

Later, the labourers trapped inside were rescued and bodies of deceased workers were recovered.

Mr Emmanuel said property worth several crores was gutted in the inferno.

The injured were rushed to hospital.
