2 history-sheeters held in Mahoba
Mahoba, Dec 14 (UNI) Two wanted criminals were arrested in separate incidents in Mahoba district late last night, police today said.
Superintendent of Police Gyan Singh said acting on a tip-off about the presence of a miscreant under the Kulpahad police station area, a police team reached the spot and nabbed a history-sheeter identified as Ranveer Singh, carrying a reward of Rs 2,500 on his head.
Some pistols and a large number of cartridges were recovered from the spot.
Ranveer was wanted in connection with the murder of Raja Singh -- a native of Mauhari village in 2003. Besides, as many as 12 cases of loot, dacoity and murder were pending against the notorious criminal.
In a separate incident, another hardened criminal, identified as Nathu Singh, was arrested under Karbai police station area.
On being frisked, a 815 bore pistol and few cartridges were recovered from his possession.
Meawhile, a hunt for their associates was on.
