Sugar prices decline further on poor demand
Mumbai, Dec 13 (UNI) Sugar prices declined further on poor demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said today.
Sugar in small grade fell by Rs five per quintal on thin buying support while medium grade went up by Rs two per quintal, on reduced stock supply.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades eased by Rs five and Rs two per quintal respectively on increased offers by stockists.
Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,617/1,645, Medium grade: Rs 1,642/1,742, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,585/1,600, Medium grade: Rs 1,610/1,650.
