Six rowdies cheating finance companies arrested
Bangalore, Dec 13 (UNI) Police have arrested six rowdy elements who were cheating finance companies and recovered 16 four-wheelers, worth Rs 63 lakh, from them.
Commissioner of Police Neelam Achutha Rao, lauding the efforts of the officers, told newspersons here that with a number of finance companies offering finance for purchase of vehicles, the rowdy elements exploited the scenario. The culprits used to approach those who were unable to repay instalments for their car loans and take control of the vehicle by paying little money. They would threaten the financer with dire consequence if he demanded payment of instalment.
Steps would be taken to seize vehicles from other rowdies, he added.
