Silver, gold ease on bearish global advices

Mumbai, Dec 13 (UNI) Both the precious metals showed a declining trend on the Bombay Bullion Exchange today with Silver down by Rs 10 per kg and Gold eased by the same margin on bearish global advices and lack of fresh demand.

Silver fineness opened edged down at Rs 20,370 per kg on poor demand and closed at the same level with a loss of Rs ten from its yesterday's close.

There was thin buying support by stockists in view of weak advice from the overseas market.

In London, the white metal was quoted low at USD 13.84/13.91 per troy ounce against USD 13.85/13.92 per troy ounce in New York.

Similarly, standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) also opened low at Rs 9,175 and Rs 9,220 per ten gm respectively on poor demand.

Later, the yellow metal declined and closed at Rs 9.165 and Rs 9.215 per ten gm with a loss of Rs ten each from the last close.

In London, the yellow metal remained steady at USD 629.20/630.70 per troy ounce as compared to USD 629.40/630.90 per troy ounce at New York on Tuesday.
