SBBJ employees on strike tomorrow
Jaipur, Dec 13 (UNI) At least 700 branches of the State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) in the state will remain closed tomorrow in response to the nation-wide strike call given by central labour unions.
All Rajasthan SBBJ Bank Employees Association deputy general secretary Kailash Lamba said in a statement issued here today that the bank's strike would result in a loss of around Rs 1,000 crore.
He said Jaipur would suffer a loss of around Rs 200 crore as employees of all 61 city branches would join the strike.
The labour unions have called the country-wide strike in protest against the anti-people and anti-labour policies being pursued by the UPA government. The Hotel and Restaurant Employees Union will also join the strike.
