Satyam joins hands with AP municipality

Hyderabad, Dec 13 (UNI) Satyam Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Satyam Computer Services, today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Kukatapally Municipal Council to implement solid waste management initiative across 44 sq kms of the municipal jurisdiction.

More than 25,000 households would now enjoy cleaner and safer living conditions as this partnership would spearhead practices which would help disposal of municipal waste in a eco-friendly and scientific manner, a company statement said.

Kukatpally Municipal Commissioner D Siva Parvathi said the municipality was consciously taking up various initiatives to promote eco-friendly practices among the communties living in the municipality.

Satyam Foundation Director Balaji Utla said one of the many areas of focus was environment-related issues and initiatives for better public health and safety.

Solid waste management had been one of the prime focus areas for this non-profit organisation.
