Jammu, Dec 13 (UNI) A Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM) militant surrendered before the security forces at Kishtwar in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir today, a senior police official said.

HuM militant Mohammad Yasin alias Tofail of Pathshalla Tipre, under Kishtwar police station, surrendered along with an AK rifle, one magazine, 27 rounds and a large quantity of indiscriminating material, Senior Superintendent of Police (Doda) Manohar Singh told UNI.

''It was the result of motivation and persuasion through meetings with the parents of the militant,'' he added.
