"Only 25 per cent of budget allocation spent":Dharam Singh

Bangalore, Dec 13 (UNI) Opposition leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today alleged that the State administration has totally failed and the government has spent only 25 per cent of the budget allocation.

Talking to newspersons here, he said that the Coalition government headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was making only promises and not taking up any developmental activities.

''The Governor returning back the Bills on Office of Profit, Town and Country Planning Act Amendment and two other Ordinances for further clarifications, has exposed the government's carelessness in drafting'', he added.

Mr Singh said that the government had spent only Rs 12 crore of the total Rs 44.55 crore released for implementation of National Horticulture Mission. The government was not responding to the problems of the farmers in the State, he added.

He alleged that the Coalition government, which abolished Permanent Backward Classes Commission, immediately after coming to power it was yet to constitute the new Commission though it is already 10 months past.
