North Zone inter varsity at PAU from Dec 15

Ludhiana, Dec 13 (UNI) The North Zone inter varsity hockey championship for men will be held at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) astroturf hockey ground from December 15 to December 21.

Giving this information here today PAU's Director Students Welfare Dr G S Chahal said at least 27 teams of the northern region will take part in the championship to be played on 'knock out-cum-league basis'.

The first four position holders in last years North Zone inter varsity championship-- Aligarh Muslim University, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak have been seeded directly to the quarter finals.

PAU is hosting this championship after a gap of five years.
