Mobile companies violate mobile license regulations
New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) Some of the cellular mobile service companies have set up Base Trans-Receive Stations (BTS) within 10 Km of the border without clearence from the Government, the Lok Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology Dr Shakeel Ahamad said in a written reply today that these companies have violated the Unified Access Service License rules.
The Government has instructed the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) to carry out periodic audit to see compliance of the license regulations by all the mobile service providers in this respect, he added.
