Mumbai, Dec 13 (UNI) Larsen&Toubro Infotech Ltd, the software and services arm of engineering and construction major Larsen&Toubro, (L&T) has agreed to buy US-based GDA Technologies Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

Announcing this here today, its Chief Executive Mr Vijay Magapu said,''This acquisition of GDA Technologies will help us deliver a broad set of chip design and product realisation services to our global customers.'' L&T Infotech said it would acquire all of GDA's design centres in both the United States and India, a company release said.

The California-based and privately-held GDA Technologies provides electronic design services and silicon intellectual property solutions for embedded networking and consumer electronics.

GDA has over 350 employees in the United States and India, besides over 100 customers in the two countries and Japan.
