Hannover Messe 2007 to be kickstarted on April 16
Bangalore, Dec 13 (UNI) Hannover Messe 2007, the world's largest industrial fair, will be held at Hannover, Germany, for five days from April 16, with Turkey being the partner country for the event, its Managing Director Wolfgang Pech said today.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said Hannover Messe 2007, providing a platform for technology transfer and cutting edge technologies, would present a cross-section of all the latest technical innovations, trends and know-how for major industries.
Over 6,000 exhibitors were expected to occupy a display area of over two lakh square metres from over 70 countries.
Mr Pech said the core themes of Hannover Messe 2007 were industrial automation, power transmission and control, energy technology, industrial sub-contracting and services, cutting-edge technologies and research and development.
He said the event would hold a mirror to the innovative forces at work in technological fields and offer a complete overview of new technologies and their place in the end-to-end industrial process chain.
Mr Pech said Turkey, being the partner country for Hannover Messe 2007, would showcase its industrial strength and skills to international audience of specialists and decision-makers. Over 200 Turkish exhibitors would be on display in over 6,500 sqmt. The Turkish presentation would consist of a central pavilion together with numerous joint presentations staged by its exhibitors in corresponding fairs taking place under the Hannover Messe umbrella.
Turkey's exhibition programme was in the diverse range of technologies and industrial sectors, with the emphasis on engineering and services and sub-contracting sectors.
He said Hannover Messe had planned to hold three industrial shows on Industrial Automation India, MDA India (Transmission, Fluid Power Transmisison, Compressed Air Technology and Machine Parts) and CeMAT India (Industrial exhibition for Materials Handling, Automation Technology, transport systems and Logistics) here for five days from December four, 2007.
Mr S J Patil, representative of India in Hannover Messe 2007, said 150 industries from diverse sectors would take part in the event, occupying over 3,000 sqmt of space which was almost double the area compared to last year. As many as 110 Indian industries had participated during the last edition of the event.
