F-Secure, VSNL tie-up to offer security solutions to SMEs

Chennai, Dec 13 (UNI) The Malaysia based internet security company F-Secure and Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) have entered into a tie up to offer security solutions for the Small and Medium Enterprises(SME).

F-Secure APAC Regional Director Jari Heinonen told newspersons here today that the two companies would jointly offer comprehensively managed security services like anti-virus, firewall and spam filter.

The company would also provide a management platform by which the company administrators could easily manage the day to day activities of the company.

He said the solution would be available for subscription through VSNL's online platform soon.

He claimed that the SMEs with the new security solutions could manage their security environment by themselves without installing any management servers or other centralised software in their premises.

The company had a similar partnership with the Reliance Telecom for the past seven months.

F-Secure Senior Security Specialist Patrik Runald said the company had produced a variety of services for their customers, including malware analysis, detection and removal of anti-virus and a description service.

VSNL Vice-President (Content and Applications) Mukul Sood said the new partnership would offer world clas products at affordable prices to the growing SME segment and it was also an addition to the existing suite of business services, which they were offering to the SMEs.
