Dutt bags unexpected bronze
Doha, Dec 13 (UNI) Lady Luck smiled on Yogeshwar Dutt as the Indian grappler won an unexpected Bronze medal in the 60kg category of the Asian Games freestyle wrestling competition here this evening.
Dutt, who had lost both his bouts including the Repechage like his other two team mates, was fortunate to get another opportunity for a Bronze medal play-off because of the limited number of entries in the 60 kg category.
The 24-year-old prevailed over Kazakhstan's Bauyrzhan Orazgaliyev 3-1 in the bout to take country's medal haul to four medals -- one silver and three bronze -- in the wrestling competition.
Earlier, Yogeshwar Dutt lost both his bouts without putting up any resistance.
Dutt lost his first bout to Song Jae Myung 3-1. The battle between the two grapplers was not very exciting but the Korean was superior in his technique with the Indian completely clueless about his rival's tactics.
