DPI volunteers arrested for resorting to road blockade

Puducherry, Dec 13(UNI) Thirtysix volunteers of the Dalit Panthers of India(DPI) were arrested when they came in a procession to put up a road blockade near the Indira Gandhi statue junction here this evening.

The agitation was to protest the arrest of their party leader Thol Thirumavalavan in Chennai today.

Later, they were released.
