Bomb hoax in TN school

Tiruchirapalli, Dec 13 (UNI) An anonymous caller rang up a private school at Khajamalai, near here, today warning a 'powerful' bomb planted in the premises would explode, causing tension among authorities and students.

Police sources said the Child Jesus Middle School authorities received the call this morning saying a powerful bomb was planted inside the school and it would explode.

The authorities immediately alerted the police. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad rushed to the spot and conducted a thorough search.

However, the call turned out to be a hoax as no explosive was found. The school continued to function after the search.
