Angad tractors starts 3 assembling units, launches Angad tractor
Kolkata, Dec 13 (UNI) Angad Tractors, a Delhi-based Tractor manufacturing company, has started three assembling units in the country to test and assemble tractor machineries imported from China.
''The company has launched Angad 240 D tractors manufactured from this units. Machineries and designs are mainly imported from our Chinese subsidiary Laying SAS Motors. We assemble and customise tractors suitable for Indian marker,'' SAS Motors Executive Vice-President Gautan Das told mediapersons here today. SAS Morors as recently acquired Laying, a Chinese government company in last march.
Mr Das said the company has already opened assembly units in West Bengal, Pune and Bhopal. The total production capacity of these units are 400 tractors a month.
Speaking about its project plans, Mr Das said, ''We have plans to launch power tillers, two wheelers and another 32HP tractors in the first half of this finacial year.'' The company has sold about newly launched 240 D Angad 3,000 tractors after its launch and aims to sell 2,000 per month.
