Agitating employees of defunct unit arrested

Puducherry, Dec 13 (UNI) As many as 56 employees, including six women employees of a now defunct industrial unit at Mettuppalayam near here were arrested when they staged a road blockade at Mettuppalayam junction to press their demands.

They demanded among other things the immediate re-opening of the closed unit and provision of wages.
