About one lakh pirated CDs, DVDs siezed

Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, Dec 13 (UNI) Police today siezed one lakh pirated CDs and DVDs of latest Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada films and six computers from a godown near here.

The search was conducted following the seizure of 4,800 pirated CDs and DVDs from a shop here yesterday.

Police sources said District Superintendent of Police John Nicholson had formed a special team to nab the real culprits behind the crime.

Apart from the latest Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada films, certain pornograpnic CDS were also seized from the shop owned by one Mohammed Jabar Sadique.

A case was registered against the shop owner and further investigations were on, police added.
