VHP activist arrested for assaulting minority community youths

Ahmedabad, Dec 12 (UNI) VHP activist Babu Bajrangi was arrested today by the Ellisbridge police for allegedly beating up youths of the minority community, outside Sahajanad college in Ahmedabad.

The assault is a part of a VHP campaign that was launched some days ago, after some youths of the minority community were allegedly repeatedly eve-teasing girls from the college.

Bajrangi was booked under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Ellisbridge police inspector R M Patel said.

However, he was later released on bail, he added.
