Two men rob woman of Rs 1.5 lakh

Rajkot, Dec 12 (UNI) A woman and her daughter were allegedly robbed of Rs 1.5 lakh cash by two unidentified youths, riding on a motorcycle, here today.

Police said Sunitaben Arora (47) and her daughter Puja had withdrawn Rs 1.5 lakh cash from a nationalised bank, situated at Nirmala road, this afternoon and were on way to their home on a two-wheeler when two young men on the mobike came from behind and snatched the bag containing the cash. The woman had withdrawn the amount from the bank to purchase valuables for Puja's upcoming marraige.

Following the incident, the woman lodged a complainant with the police.

A case of robbery has been registered by the Gandhgram police station, police added.
