Tension prevails in employment office

Mysore, Dec 12 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time at the employment office on the Bangalore-Mysore road when hundreds of job aspirants gheraoed the employment officer over a ''misleading'' advertisement for a job.

Nearly 200 job seekers, hailing from Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Hassan and Mysore, came to the employment office looking for a 'Financial Advisor' post as advertised. However, the post turned out to be not a full time one, but only two hours job that too on commission basis.

They protested against the ''mismanagement'' of the in charge employment officer and alleged that corruption was taking place in the office.

Meanwhile, police provided security to the office and the situation was brought under control with the company, which had advertised for the said post, providing financial assistance to the protestors.
