Ten killed in two accidents in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Dec 12 (UNI) Ten people died and 15 were injured in two road accidents in Rajasthan today.
According to police, an accident occurred on the Sambhar-Nava state highway near Naurangpur in Jaipur district More around 0745 hrs when a jeep collided with a tractor.
Three passengers in the jeep died on the spot, while eight of the injured were admitted to Sawai Mansingh Hospital.
Three of them are stated to be in serious condition.The tractor driver is absconding.
In another incident, at least seven people were killed and as many injured when a Roadways bus collided with two jeeps in Sirohi district.
According to police, the accident occurred near Luniyapura mosque in Abu Road at around 0600 hrs when an oncoming Rajasthan Roadways bus, traveling towards Abu Road, collided with two jeeps. The jeeps were on their way from Abu Road to Revdar.
Six people, including the drivers of the two jeeps, died on the spot. A seventh person died on the way to the hospital. Seven injured people have been referred to a hospital in Palampur. Five of them are in a serious condition.
Police have started investigations.
