SC directs Centre to allow Reliance to take over Super Bazaar
New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) The Supreme Court today directed the Centre to examine the possibility of bringing in necessary amendments to the cooperative society laws to enable the Reliance, a private party, to take over the Super Bazaar for restarting the same.
A bench headed by Justice B P Singh also asked the government to consider the possibility of making appropriate exgratia payment to the Super Bazaar workers who have been without job since its closure.
The court granted time till February 13, 2007 to the Centre to file its reply.
