Kannur, Dec 12 (UNI) The Communist Marxist Party (CMP) today termed the LDF's expulsion of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) from its fold as a betrayal of trust and said it would not oppose the NCP's entry into the United Democratic Front, if the party was ready to correct its mistakes.

Talking to newspersons here, CMP leader M V Raghavan said CPI(M) State Secretary, Pinarayi Vijayan, who had openly acknowledged the NCP for the victory at the recent Thiruvambady bypolls, should tender an apology.

Mr Raghavan also asked George M Thomas (CPI-M), who had won the Thiruvambady bypolls, to quit the seat, as the NCP was also instrumental in his victory.

On Mr Achutanandan's statement that he was not aware of the agreement for the ADB loan for urban development, he said it was a paradox that the Chief Minister had not known it even after the Cabinet had endorsed the projects.
