Longon asks to improve Kohima water supply

Kohima, Dec 12: Nagaland Public Health Engineering Minister P Longon said Kohima is still without proper safe drinking water supply system.

He urged the department to improve their work culture.

Speaking as the Chief Guest at the PHE Department Officers' meeting at the Zonal Council Hall here yesterday, he said an MoU has been signed with the concerned villages and work must start with vigour and with all seriousness.

He said all major components of the project must be completed within two years to supply superior quality water to all the citizens of the town.

He said cooperation of all field officers was required as surplus field staff from all district could be temporarily deputed to this project site.
