Kottayam, Dec 12 (UNI) Bharatheeya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Kerala unit President M S Karunakaran and General Secretary K K Vijayakumar today described the December 14 general strike call by a few Left organisations as politically motivated and said that the BMS would not participate in the strike.

Talking to newspersons here, BMS leaders alleged that the Left organisations policy of agitation along with Governance was a farce and the workers would realise it.

After confining their protests by issuing mere statements, the left parties were hand-in-glove with the Central Government in their anti-people policies, including the privatisation, pension regulatory and development authority bill, patent bill, among others, they added.

At a time when all trade unions had to fight unitedly, the unilateral decision of the Left organisations to conduct a general strike without even consulting the BMS and INTUC, would only destroy the unity in the trade union sector in the country, they alleged.
