Kidnapped Ankit's body found: 3 arrested
Lucknow, Dec 12 (UNI) Police today recovered the body of a 13-year-old boy who was kidnapped four days ago on the outskirts of the state capital.
The student of standard eighth of Central School, Ankit is the son of R S Vishwakarma, employee of the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), here, and was kidnapped from his residence at Eldico on December 8.
Police sources said the body was recovered this morning near a canal in Muradabad village on the Lucknow-Deva road in the adjoining Barabanki district following interrogation of three accused, who were arrested here last night.
The three arrested youths were identified as Vishal Mishra, Satyendra Gupta and Gaurav Singh who had demanded a ransom money of Rs 5 lakh.
During the interrogation, the youths admitted before the police that they had killed Ankit in a car on the night of his abduction and had dumped the body on the Lucknow-Deva road.
However, the police were in search of another three people believed to be involved in the kidnapping.
Meanwhile, the employees union of the SGPGIMS have threatened to go on an indefinte strike protesting against the killing of the boy.
