Jabra launches Headset for mobile phones
Hyderabad, Dec 12 (UNI) Jabra, a brand of audio products for the mobile consumer markets today announced the launch of a new Blue Tooth headset for the mobile market, the Jabra BT 135, which it claimed was the "first sub Rs 2,000 level headset in India".
Incorporating a range of exciting new technologies, such as Blue Tooth 2.0, providing better usability through longer talk-time, the Jabra BT 135 also features interchangeable of snap-on strips of the headset.
Talking to newspersons on the occasion of the launch, Vincent Pena, Regional Managing Director, Emerging Markets, G N Netcom said the company planned to move to the 'A class cities after New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad by March, 2007. With its office at New Delhi when it launched in July, last year, the company was looking for an expansion and doubling its sales from 5,000 units a month.
The Jabra BT 135 features some of the latest mobile headset technology, offering eight hrs talk-time and up to 170 hrs standby time, all packed into just 14 g and can be paired instantly with a Blue Teeth enabled mobile phone and supports Blue Tooth 2.0.
Mr Pena said the company planned to launch "a new model a month" in 2007 and will offer technology simultaneously with those in Europe. The company which commands 35 per cent market share world-wide could consider a manufacturing facility in India which the volumes growing to an optimal level", he added.
