DOHA, Dec 12 (Reuters) Iraq pulled off a shock 1-0 win over South Korea today to storm into the Asian Games soccer final.

Samer Mujbel sent the Iraqi fans into a frenzy by heading in the 24th minute winner. A swift counter-attack caught the Korean defence upfield and when captain Younes Khalef's shot was blocked on the line Mujbel was on hand to head home.

It was the first goal conceded by Korea after four previous clean sheets.

The South Koreans poured everything into attack in the second half, but Iraq defended with grit and managed to hold out for the stunning win.

The victory sent hundreds of flag-waving Iraqi fans into raptures in the stands as they sat side-by-side with drum-beating Korean supporters at the Al-Gharrafa stadium.

Iraq will meet either defending champions Iran or hosts Qatar for the gold medal.
