Divanshu -- Phoghat pair in quarter finals

Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 12 (UNI) The doubles pair of Singh Divanshu of Delhi and Phoghat Yogesh of Haryana and Rajur Chirashanthi and Thammanna Pnushree duo of Karnataka entered the doubles quarter finals in the men and women sections respectively in the All India Ranking Tennis Tournament here today.

In the men's pre-quarter final, Singh and Phogat defeated Venkatram Santosh and V C Vijay Kumar of Karnataka in straight sets 6-2, 6-0.

In the women's pre-quarter final, Rajur and Thammanna demolished Sharma Rachna (Chattisgarh) and A V S Srujana of Andhra Pradesh in straight sets 6-0,6-0.

Similarly, Selvaraj Ajay (TN) and Venkatesh Vignesh (AP) combine won with ease over Ratai Srikant (Delhi) and Haral Yuvaraj (Mah) 6-1, 6-1 in the men's section, qualifying for the quarter finals.

Reddy Harshin (Kar) and Kaul Kapur (Mah) beat J B Adithi (Kar) and Chakraborthy Deepannita (Gujarat) 6-4, 4-1 (conceded) to find a place in the quarter finals.
