CM stealing Akali agenda of cheap 'atta-daal':Badal

Chandigarh, Dec 12 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal president Parkash Singh Badal said here today that by promising to implement the SAD-BJP announcements on cheap wheat flour (atta) and pulses (daal), Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had virtually conceded that only the policies and programmes of the alliance would determine the agenda for future.

''The Chief Minister had full five years to think and implement pro-people policies but all this while, he kept dismissing the SAD policies as populist and warned the people against he adverse impact of these policies on the economy of the state'', Mr Badal said in a statement while refering to Capt Singh's promise yesterday of providing cheap 'atta and daal' to the poor.

The SAD had at its rally at Moga on December 8 promised to provide 'atta and daal' at cheap rates to the people of the state if they were voted to power in the next assembly polls.

The CM was now realizing that his days in office were numbered and had suddenly realized the wisdom of the SAD stand and had started copying each and every detail of the SAD programme,he said in a statement here.
