AP CM surrenders excess land

Hyderabad, Dec 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today surrendered the excess land of 618 acres in Vempalli mandal in Cuddapah district as per the Land Reforms Act 1974.

Talking to newspersons here, Dr Reddy said he had already written to the District Collector of Cuddapah to take back the lands purchased by his father, which were not permissible under the provisions of the Act.

''As a law abiding person, I am returning the land to the Government and will always respect the law,'' he added.
