Patna, Dec 12 (UNI) A special court today directed the CBI to hand over 17 idols of antique value to the Patna museum.

The antiques were stolen from the Patna museum and subsequently recovered by the CBI.

By filing a petition before special CBI judicial magistrate Shravajeet, the CBI submitted that they lacked any arrangement to keep these antiques.

On the other hand Patna musuem authorities had filed a petition seeking release of the antiques in their favour as the items were museum's property.

After hearing both petitions, the court passed an order to hand over these antiques to Patna museum. The court directed the Patna museum not to change the colour, shape and size of these antiques.

Altogether 18 pieces of antiques were stolen from Patna museum in September last.

CBI recovered 17 idols, while one item namely Manjushree was still traceless.
