Two farmers electrocuted in Bengal's Nadia district

Krishnagar, Dec 11 (UNI) Two farmers were electrocuted and died instantly when they stepped on a high voltage livewire on their farmland at Joynagar village under Santipur police station in West Bengal's Nadia district this monring.

Police said Sanjoy Biswas (35) and Dulal Biswas (40) unaware of livewire, that fell on their field after breaking from tower, died of burn after coming to contact with powerline.

The accident brought a pall of gloom at the village as the bodies were sent for postmortem.
