Balasore, Dec 11 (UNI) India today successfully carried out a test flight of the Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTA) from the Integrated Test Range(ITR) at Chandipur on sea, about 15 kms from here.
ITR sources said the PTA was flown at around 1113 hours and the object dropped from the unmanned vehicle was targetted by a missile testfired from the ITR.
PTA was helpful to the Indian Air Force for practice of target hitting capabilities, locating enemy position with arrangement of effective strike.
