Ranbaxy appoints Atul Sobti as new COO

Gurgaon, Haryana, Dec 11 (UNI) Global Pharmaceutical company Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd today announced the appointment of Atul Sobti as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) with effect from January 1, 2007.

Mr Sobti will be responsible for global business operations, manufacturing and generic development. He will continue to report to Mr Malvinder Mohan Singh, CEO and MD, Ranbaxy.

The company is serving its customers in over 125 countries and has an expanding international portfolio of affiliates, joint ventures and alliances, ground operations in 49 countries and manufacturing operations in nine countries.
