Opposition has no fixed 'goal': Nitish Kumar

Patna, Dec 11: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the Opposition has no fixed 'goal' and alleged that obstruction of proceedings of the House was its lone agenda.

Referring to the obstruction created by the Oppsotion in the state assembly, Mr Kumar told mediapersons here that they had no clarity in their mind and was all set to disturb it without any demand.

He suggested the Opposition to utilise even the short session of the House fruitfully and announced that the government ready to hold debate on any issue. Their main goal was to disturb the House, he said.

To the issues inclduing that of judicial probe into killing in Bagha and CBI probe into Prof Papiya Ghosh's murder on which the Opposition obstructed the House proceedings during the day, Mr Kumar said government would take action once the inquiry report was submitted.

Administrative actions had been initiated in Bagha where the Police Superintendent and District Magistrate had been changed after the recent incident in which four people in two separate incidents were killed.

Mr Kumar Pooh poohed the demands for CBI probe into the killing of Prof Papiya Ghosh saying that the Patna police was proceeding in right direction and without being intolerant every one should wait patiently for the outcome. Mr Kumar said he was personally monitoring the case and was taking updates from the DGP and Home Secretary on the matter.
