Karnataka bundled out for 67 in Umrigar trophy
Patiala, Dec 11 (UNI) Punjab bundled out Karnataka for a paltry 67 runs in 37 overs in the first innings on a perfect batting strip on the opening day of the Polly Umrigar Trophy (under-15) at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium here today.
K L Rahul was the only Karnataka batsman who withstood the penetrative Punjab bowling. He scored 17 runs in Karnataka's tattered innings.
Sandeep Sharma returned a magical bowling spell of four for 16, while Pankaj Choudhary ripped through the Karnataka innings returning incredible bowling figures of five for 18.
In reply, Punjab were 154 for 2 in 60 overs at close of play.
Pargat Singh, who is in great batting form, hit a sparkling 81 which was studded with 12 boundaries.
At draw of stumps, Arjun Kumar was unbeaten on 40 with 5 fours and skipper Mandeep Singh was 19 not out.
