Headmistress suspended for flouting dispatch rules

Guwahati, Dec 11 (UNI) The headmistress of a high school in Kamrup district of Asom was suspended today for flouting question paper dispatch rules to sub-centres under her supervision.

A press release informed that headmistress of Betkuchi high school in Kamrup district Arati Goswami has been placed under suspension with immediate effect.

Ms Goswami had reportedly dispatched all Mathematics question papers for class IX examinations, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, on December 4 though the examination for the subject was slated on December 8. The Board has strict regulations for dispatch of question hours in a manner so that the bundles reach the centers just before the start of examinations.

Meanwhile, the principal of a private city-based school was arrested, along with two associates, for leaking out question papers of class IX in advance to students of his school.
