Bilaspur SECL GM arrested for graft
New Delhi, Dec 11 (UNI) The CBI has arrested the Bilaspur General Manager (Civil) of the South Eastern Coal Fields Limited for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs two lakh.
Dipika Expansion Project, in its complaint, had said the accused was demanding Rs two lakh as bribe for granting extension for the contract period of laying and black topping of road at South Eastern Coal Fields Ltd (SECL).
The contract was to expire on December 17.
The accused was caught red-handed at his residence while demanding and accepting the bribe from the complainant.
Incriminating documents recovered during the search at his residence.
The accused was produced before the Special Judge CBI, Raipur and remanded to judicial custody till December 15.
