Bihar assembly adjourned after pandemonium
Patna, Dec 11 (UNI) The Bihar Assembly was adjourned for the day after pandemonium created by the Opposition parties over rejection of their adjournment motion on rising crime and deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
As soon as the House assembled, the Opposition was on its feet in favour of the adjournment motion moved by the RJD on the criminal incidents that rocked the state including recent killing of Prof Papiya Ghosh in Patna and killings in Bagha.
Demanding reply on the situation the opposition parties shouted anti-government slogans and trooped to the well waving placards in their hands.
Despite repeated request by Speaker Udai Narayan Choudhry, the Opposition did not budge even an inch and amid noisy scenes the newly elected JD(U) member from Manihari Vishwanath Singh took oath for the membership of the Lower House.
The agitated Opposition was carrying placards demanding judicial probe into the killings in Bagha and to hand over the police district to the army. The pendamonium continued for over 15 minutes after which the House was adjourned till 1200 hrs.
