UPA striving for a consensus on Women's Reservation Bill
Chennai, Dec 9 (UNI) Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy today said the Congress favoured 33 per cent Reservation for women in Lok Sabha and state Assemblies.
Talking to newspersons at the airport here, Mr Reddy said the party was attempting to evolve a consensus not only within the UPA but also among other parties.
He said every party supported the move.
Mr Reddy, however, refused to comment on questions related to the Tamil Nadu Government's move to establish Special Economic Zones and satellite townships in the state, ''as this was purely a state subject.'' UNI RV VV RR RS1824
